This year was the first that SABR members had the option of voting online. Here at the national office, we spent much of our morning with the Tellers Committee getting paper ballots inputted, determining the final count, and preparing for their certification of the results.

I'm using this post to provide some more technical details and catalogue and address some of the complaints we heard about the online voting process.

There have not been any major changes in the Encyclopedia in the last few weeks, but we have made some incremental improvements, both for editors and for researchers in general. Read on to find out what's new with the Encyclopedia!

Only now can I come out from behind a veil of secrecy and tell you about my experience as a beta tester for the new SABR Encyclopedia. It was that terrible kind of experience in which you both have fun and learn some things at the same time.

We are pleased to announce that the open development period of the new SABR Encyclopedia has started. All members are now invited to contribute to the Encyclopedia and contribute to its mission of becoming an essential reference on professional and collegiate baseball, which brings together SABR research and other resources in one convenient portal.
