The group sites are particularly good for chapters. They work well for announcements of upcoming official chapter events, announcements of other local baseball events of interest, and very well for newsletters and records of previous meetings (including photos). If you haven't seen the Bob Davids and Field of Dreams chapter sites, have a look at what they've done with them.

The sites make it easy to update content frequently, but they also work well if you don't want to update them constantly - I can design a site that works with the way you need to work. If you're going to update less frequently, the front page of the site can be a welcome message that never changes, but if you're going to post once or twice a week, it can be a "blog-style" page like the front page of the SABR Convention site.
