The main software that the new Chapter and Committee sites are using is called Joomla. Joomla is a type of software referred to as a "content management system". To put that in a way that makes a little more sense, software like Joomla is there to make updating web sites something normal people can do. For example, here is a view from the "administrator" section of this site, projects.sabr.org (you can click on any image to enlarge):

You can see this article, along with several others. Clicking on an article name brings up an editing screen that is a lot like you might see editing things on your own computer:

There is documentation here at projects.sabr.org for all the tasks you will do frequently using Joomla.

In addition to Joomla, there are some other tools that will help you run a good chapter or committee site:

• Eventlist - A Joomla add-on that lets you list upcoming events
• Morfeoshow - A very nice photo gallery
• Joomfish - Publish any (or all) of the articles on your site in multiple languages
• Statistics - Full (and excellent) statistics from Google Analytics:
